A large group of Afghans tried to get to Slovakia
Yesterday, border guards of the Chop detachment in collaboration with their Slovak colleagues stopped a group of illegal migrants from Asia, who intended to illegally enter the EU.
After receiving information about unknown persons moving towards the border, officers of the department "Novoselytsia" stationed in Perechyn district of Transcarpathian region were immediately sent to detain them. Upon arrival to the scene, border guards found signs of a large groups of people and traces of trespassing. Having reported this information to Slovak border guards, our border guards organized the search for offenders.
A few dozens of meters to the Ukrainian-Slovak border, "green berets" detained seven men without documents. According to the "travelers," they were all citizens of Afghanistan and were going to Austria. Another three of their countrymen were detained border patrol of the Slovak Republic and, under the Agreement on Readmission of Rersons, they were handed over to Ukrainian border guards.
Currently, the offenders are being identified. After making administrative and procedural documents, the fate of the detainees will be determined by court.
Recall that two days ago, officers of the department "Uzhgorod" arrested 11 illegal immigrants from Armenia.
