Volodymyr Smolanka: "The country needs systemic changes"

The Rector of UzhNU, deputy of the Regional Council believes that the situation that occurred in recent days in the region is not conducive to the country's image in general.

"It could also affect the image of our institution. We have been positioning ourselves as a university for foreigners. We have to do everything possible in order to resolve the situation. It is not true that our region is the land of smugglers. We are hardworking people, who want peace. Heads of customs offices are appointed in Kyiv, not in Uzhgorod. Therefore, they should be responsible. This situation has to become an impetus for systemic changes in the country. The problem is that the whole country is corrupt. Only after such changes, peace will come. Our country and the region has a great future", - Volodymyr Smolanka said.
