Uzhgorod city council decided not to save the "Vodokanal"
Uzhgorod city council did not allocate 2,451,000.00 UAH to the "Vodokanal". This decision was approved by the deputies at the regular session of the City Council of Uzhgorod on July 9.
The deputies wanted to make changes to the program of financial support of municipal companies of Uzhgorod for 2013-2015, approved by the decision of the XVI session of the City Council of the VI convocation dd. 01.03.13 №805, namely to increase the amount of the financial resources provided for in paragraph 6 of the Program Passport by nearly 2.5 million hryvnia. All the money were to go to finance the MU "Vodokanal mista Uzhgoroda". However, the deputies had doubts about the use of the February tranche. The commission had to study this issue. Victor Pogorelov said that Mukachevo had allocated 10 million to its water utility, and Uzhgorod water utility needed no less support. The decision, however, was supported by only 24 deputies and it was not passed, - the Zaholovok wrote. Nevertheless, the session adopted the protocol order for executive committee of Uzhgorod city council to conduct the audit of the company within 60 days.
Also they decided to establish a commission on the repayment of debt to Uzhgorod "Vodokanal" from villages of Uzhgorod district. The commission will consist of deputies Rostislav Bulanov and Taras Rumyantsev - they were the only who agreed to work in this commission.
