US State Department on the events in Mukachevo: all must respect law and order

United States consider unacceptable acts of violence with weapons in Ukraine, as it was in Mukachevo, and stress on the necessity to ensure the rule of law.

This was announced on Wednesday, July 15, at a briefing in Washington, by the US State Department spokesman John Kirby, the Ukrinform reported.

"The violence is totally unacceptable. We expect that all Ukrainians, regardless of their affiliation to organizations, must respect law and order," - the representative of the State Department said.

In addition, he said, the United States hope that such conflicts in Ukraine to be resolved in a peaceful and lawful manner.

When asked about the Right Sector as an independent armed formation, Kirby said that the process of creating Ukraine's security apparatus belongs to the competence of Ukrainian government.

"We continue to urge the Government of Ukraine to complete this transition as soon as possible" - Kirby said.

He also said that the United States did not conduct training of the Right Sector under their programs of military support for Ukraine.
