Ukrainians tried to illegally import a "Piaggio" and a "Honda" from Italy

Yesterday, at the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs office a scooter "Piaggio" and a frame with engine to "Honda" motorcycle were confiscated from Ukrainians. The reason was failure to declare these goods.

Both citizens were going to Ukraine from Italy. When completing customs declarations, they denied carrying any goods, including those subject to written declaration. However, during the customs control of the Ukrainians' vehicles and goods, customs officers found a used scooter "Piaggio", model "Liberty", weighing 174 kg, and a frame with engine to "Honda" motorcycle, model "CBR", total weight - 107 kg.

Access to the found products was not obstructed.

Thus, citizens of Ukraine failed to povide accurate and true information about the goods being transported across the customs border of Ukraine subject to mandatory written declaration and taxation. Their actions have signs of violation of customs rules under Article 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, the direct objects of customs rules violation, the value of which will be determined by expert, were confiscated.
