Yesterday, in Transcarpathia, the Border Guard Service officers together with officers of the police and the Security Service of Ukraine detained two men suspected of committing severe crimes under Art. 127 "Torturing" and Art. 147 "Hostage-taking" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The suspects were detained at the checkpoint near the village of Lazeshchyna, during joint complex operational and control measures in controlled border areas. The detainees were riding in a car "Daewoo Lanos". Mariupol Court issued the ruling on detention of these citizens.
During the search, the police found three mobile phones without IMEI codes, binoculars and 2 packages of a white substance of unknown origin. Currently, the investigation continues.
