Transcarpathian strongmen take part in European competitions (PHOTO)
Over the past few days, strongmen of the "Carpathian league of strong men" have achieved considerable success.
On June 20, Oleksiy Maltsev took part in the prestigious competition "Champions League" that took place in the Norwegian Oslo. Oleksiy was competing in the under 90 kg category and won second place, losing only 2.5 points to local Raymond Rabben. Scot Darren Wright ranked the third. The second place will allow Maltsev to take part in the Strongman World Championship, which will be held in Norway in November, in the under 90 kg category. We hope that he finds sponsors who will finance the preparation and travel expenses for the Uzhgorod strongman.
This weekend, Ivan Grigorovsky and Volodymyr Tsyfra competed in the third round of the "Central European Cup" in neighboring Slovakia. In a very tough competition between twelve participants from eleven countries, our strongmen showed good results finishing in the sixth place (Ivan Grigorovsky) and the seventh place (Volodymyr Tsyfra). By the way, Volodymyr was the youngest (22) and Ivan was the oldest (42) participants of the tournament.
On Sunday, July 5, Volodymyr Tsyfra will be competing in the fourth round in Poland, and two representatives of the TLS from Mukachevo Ivan Derkach and Fedir Viner will go to Chernihiv, where they will represent the region at the "Cossack entertainments - 2015".
