The West should have a clearer position on the events in eastern Ukraine – opinion

From June 30 to July 4, the Transcarpathian Free Summer University takes place in the village of Synevyrska Polyana in Mizhhirya district, the press service of the Regional Council informed.

It was organized by the "Pro Minoritate" Fund and the Society of Hungarian culture in Transcarpathia.

Transcarpathian Free Summer University for 23 years has been a meeting place for community leaders from Hungary and Ukraine, who have an opportunity to discuss current political and social issues of the two countries.

Zsolt Neimet said that Budapest strongly supports the initiative for the European way of Ukraine’s development and would facilitate it. He thanked the Regional Council Chairman Volodymyr Chubirko for participating in the event. He believes that the Revolution of Dignity was a renaissance of the nation for Ukraine and compared it with the national liberation revolution of the Hungarian people in the middle of the XIX century and 1956. "I believe that the West should have a clearer position on the events in eastern Ukraine. We must support Ukraine, because Russia continues aggression.  We have to promote European integration of Ukraine. We advocate the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukrainians" – Zsolt Neimet said.
