The Ministry of Infrastructure told when they will repair all the roads in Ukraine
Provided full and uninterrupted funding, Ukrainian roads can be repaired in 5-7 years.
This was said by the Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pivovarsky on the ICTV channel on Sunday, July 26.
Given the experience of the neighboring countries, we are talking about the prospect of 5-7 years. That is, if there is a steady earmarking. If they keep allocating the money as they did this year, when they allocated for pit repairs ten times less than we needed, we will not change the situation radically,
- Pivovarsky said.
In addition, the minister told about the sources from which the money for road repairs will be taken.
"First, it is necessary to establish a road fund, that is the money that drivers pay for imported fuel should be used for road building. Second, we need to complete decentralization and the reform of the "Ukravtodor" - he said.
According to the official, it is necessary to transfer money and powers to the regions, because they know best what needs to be repaired.
