The first walk among silence (PHOTOS)

Sometimes, people, seeking tranquility, go to public places, walking noisy streets, meeting with friends. Running away from their own thoughts into the noise of city life.  They do it in those moments when they actually need tranquility.

In Uzhgorod, there are many places where your soul can rest, where you can think about how to go on and what to do to make life better. I thought that a good place of silence could be… cemetery. Walking there, we learn a little about the traditions of the people, honoring the dead.

 Correspondents of Uzhgorod.in are launching a series of walks with a camera to the cemeteries of the city.  

By the way, there are 9 cemeteries within Uzhgorod. In the territory of the Baranyntsi village council, there is the "Barvinok" cemetery. 

We begin our walk in the silence of the Kirkut. This cemetery differs from other ones for its tombstones. The Jewish cemetery, which is located in the Shakhta neighbourhood, is well maintained, and the entrance to the territory is locked. However, despite this, there are some abandoned graves that are "lurking" in the weeds during summer. There is not much garbage, but it still can be spotted here and there.
