Railway volunteer camp will "clear" the way for "Antsya"
Volunteer camp at the railway station Khmilnyk in Irshava district opens on July 29 and will work until August 1. Friends of Borzhava narrow gauge organize it in order to clean up the station and the tracks.
Recall that Khmilnyk station is a junction and located near forest. Narrow gauge train Antsya Kushnytska runs through it toward Vynogradiv. Currently, it is a fully-operating station with unique equipment, rare bridge over the Borzhava river, old Polish cars, which now serve as "museum pieces".
The organizers also promise a trip for volunteers to depots in Beregovo and Korolevo in Vynogradiv district. According to the chairman of the NGO "Borzhava initiative" Denys Dobra, the volunteer railway camp was supported by known Transcarpathian winemaker Ivan Ursta. It's not the first time Mr. Ursta participates in railway promotional campaigns - a few years ago the winemaker's mansion was one of the stops in the wine tourist route. In addition to wine tasting, the owner told about the development of winemaking and viticulture in the region, the culture of wine consumption.
And August 2, Antsya Kushnytska celebrates its birthday - 107 years. So, friends of Borzhava narrow gauge invite guests and supporters of the narrow gauge to the station Khmilnyk. On this day, the traditional picnic on the bank of the Borzhava river will be held.
