In Transcarpathia, contraband cigarettes were found under ore in a freight car (PHOTOS)
Yesterday, border guards of the Chop detachment found contraband tobacco products hidden under a load of iron ore.
Thus, at the checkpoint "Pavlove" in Transcarpathia, officers of the State Border Guard Service together with customs officers, during the inspection of a freight train heading from Ukraine to Slovakia, found under the load of sintering ore 4 boxes wrapped in plastic bags. During the subsequent inspection, it was found out that the boxes contained 2000 packs of cigarettes "Jing Ling".
The seized goods were handed over to employees of the SFS, their cost amounts to 20,000 UAH.
In another two cases, border guards found cigarettes in areas of Lviv and Mukachevo detachments. They were carried through crossing points "Rava-Ruska" and "Dyakove" by a citizen of Ukraine and a citizen Serbia. The men hid the cigarettes in design features of their vehicles. Overall, 750 packs of cigarettes were found in the vehicles.
