Chop border guards stopped two men from the Caucasus on the way to Germany

Yesterday, border guards of the Chop detachment detained another duo of illegal immigrants on their way to the EU bypassing checkpoints.

Having received a signal about triggering of an alarm complex at the site of the "Uzhgorod" department, an operational group with a dog was immediately sent there. After identifying the site of possible trespassing, "green berets" detained two "tourists" a few hundred meters to the cherished border of the EU. The men told border guards that they were from Georgia, but did not have any documents.Regarding the destination of the trip, they said that they wanted to get to Germany in search of a better life. The detainees planned their route using thr Internet service Google maps.

In order to establish the circumstances of the offense and draft legal documents, the men were taken to the unit. The decision on legal liability and further fate of detainees will be taken in court.

By the way, during the first half of this year, border guards of the Chop detachment detained 39 immigrants from Georgia.
