On July 16, the charity bike ride "East West" started in Chop. It will last 47 days, during which the participants of the bicycle race will ride over 2000 km. Every day, the cyclists are going to ride 50 km, and on their way they will make stops in 36 cities of Ukraine.
Participants of the ATO and people with disabilities are invited to participate in the project. The organizers offer for disabled people special three-wheeled transport means which will allow to freely and comfortably participate in the marathon.
The organizer of the bicycle race, ATO veteran Kostyantin Samchuk says: "The idea to organize such an event came to me half a year ago.I was standing on a roadblock and, talking with the commander, learned that there are tricycles for people with disabilities produced in Kyiv. I decided to organize a bike ride across Ukraine to raise funds for the families of killed, injured and disabled soldiers. At the same time, we will symbolically unite Ukrainians from the west and the east for a common goal – to help participants of the ATO, and we also to organize meetings with patriotic youth, participants of the ATO, activists, public figures to make a common future of our country by joint efforts".
The route of the bicycle race: start at 16.07 from Chop, then through Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Svalyava, Volovets, Synevir, Dolyna, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky (28-29.07), Vinnytsia (31.07-01.08), Nemyriv, Haisyn, Uman (04-05.08) Cherkasy (08-09.08), Poltava (13-14.08), Kharkiv (17-18.08), Svatovo, Starobilsk, Bilovodsk to Milove 24.08.
