A resident of Vynogradiv tried to cross the border with a forged passport

At the international checkpoint "Dolsk", border guards of the Lutsk detachment detained a man who was trying to leave Ukraine with a forged passport.

During the inspection of a minibus with passengers, border control inspector found signs of forgery of the passport of one of the travelers. It had wrong photograph. The detained 34-year-old inhabitant of Vynogradiv in Transcarpathian region explained that due to the prohibition of entry to Russia he himself had forged the document that he had borrowed from his distant relative. In addition, after checking relevant databases, another reason for passport forgery became clear - the detainee was wanted in Ukraine on suspicion of committing a crime under Art. 199 Criminal Code of Ukraine (counterfeiting).

In addition to administrative responsibility for illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine, the citizen faces criminal liability for knowingly using a forged passport. He was handed over to the police.
