25 scholarships have been appointed to the best athletes of the region
On July 14, in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, there was the meeting of the Commission for appointment of scholarships for the best athletes of the region.
The preliminary list of candidates included 42 athletes. Scholarships were divided into 2 categories: 1,100 UAH. and 750 UAH. The first category included 10 athletes, the second one - 15. Therefore, the Commission consisting of 13 people had to decide who was the most worthy of financial support.
After a lively discussion of the final list of athletes, the Commission reached a consensus and adopted a collective decision. The full list of scholarships for the top athletes is as follows:
Scholarships in the amount of 1,100 UAH will be paid to:
Anatoly Herey (fencing), Volodymyr Lyatov (dance sport), Veronica Myshko (dance sport), Vlada Kharkova (fencing), Oleksandr Kukhta (GR), Yevhen Krysa (weightlifting), Oleksandr Shlyakhta (weightlifting), Yosyp Penyak ( snowboarding), Kostyantin Reva (weightlifting), Kostyantin Puzanov (athletics).
Scholarships in the amount of 750 UAH will be paid to: Annamari Chundak (snowboarding), Anna Lezinska (handball), Daryna Kot (handball), Ivan Kovbasnyuk (skiing), Oleksandr Kasyanov (orienteering), Alina Rapynets (fencing), Volodymyr Kozlovsky (cycling ), Mykolas Khomin (volleyball), Vislana Izhovska (swimming, disabled), Maxim Mahula (fencing, disabled), Yuriy Shkryuba (GR), Yelizaveta Ryzhak (Ban) (weightlifting), Oleksandr Illyash (combat sambo), Serhiy Kozub (GR), Yevhen Prozor (sumo).
The Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration and the co-chair of the Commission Mykhailo Rivis said that scholarships are the motivating factor for all athletes and should motivate others to show better and higher results.
"These scholarships are really important stimulus that the government can use to support the athletes. The monthly budget for them is 22,000 UAH. In general, we support the best ones so that young people have the motivation to develop and stay in the region," - the head of the Youth and Sports Department Denys Man commented on the decision.
