The lowest inflation in the country is in Transcarpathia

In January, the State Statistics Committee recorded in Transcarpathian region the lowest inflation among the regions of the country – 2.3%. The average nationwide rate was 3.1%. The highest inflation rate is in Zaporizhzhya (3.8%), the capital of Ukraine, Kirovohrad and Kherson regions (3.6%).

In January, the highest rate of price growth in Transcarpathian region was for alcohol and tobacco – 5.1%. Meanwhile, prices for clothing and footwear even fell by 1.1%.
