The Centre of Technology Transfer is proposed to be opened in Transcarpathia

The Regional Council Chairman Volodymir Chubirko and the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council Mykhailo Popovich held a working meeting with the coordinator of the European Office and International Educational Cooperation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Martin Reuter.

He has been working in Ukraine since 2008, representing the Educational Foundation of the German Government.  Now he works with German government funds. He is the Coordinator of the European Office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and has been dealing with the restructuring of the office, establishing contacts with European companies. He says that he is interested in Transcarpathia, because the region could become a pilot region for the European office. Now he is lobbying the German government program of the Federal Union of Industrialists for training of students from Ukraine at German enterprises.

"I see a great potential in Transcarpathia, I want to contribute to the development of the region. I want to help in those projects that are currently being implemented. Resources and contacts – I can help with this. I want to attract as many active investors from Europe as possible. I propose to hold a forum of investors in Transcarpathia. I am also willing to initiate funding of joint projects between twin cities of Darmstadt and Uzhgorod" – Martin Reuter shared his plans.

He suggests Transcarpathian to join the powerful project – the Danube Strategy, which already includes 14 countries. Another project which will be discussed this spring is the opening of the Center for Technology Transfer in Transcarpathia.

The Regional Council Chairman Volodymyr Chubirko thanked for the proposed initiatives. And said that we are already cooperating with Hungarian partners within the Danube strategy – particularly, in the area of flood protection in the Tisa river basin.

Volodymyr Chubirko also proposed to engage universities of Transcarpathia in the project for the creation of the German Center for Technology Transfer.
