The "carve-up" of 78 municipal facilities in Uzhgorod is postponed
Under public pressure and reasoned position of individual deputies, the City Council sent the decision to extend the program of communal property privatization at today's session for revision.
The said draft decision envisaged the sale of 78 objects of communal property. Each of them, as noted, was to bring 9-10 thousand hryvnia to the city budget, while in total the sale of the objects would bring 25 million hryvnia of revenues to the budget.
Outraged public demanded the withdrawal of the draft decision from the agenda, because when Victor Pogorelov was reinstated as the mayor in court, he promised not to consider the issues of the sale of public property and land at the session. In turn, the Mayor refuted this claim and asserted that "the proceeds from the sale are incorporated in the city budget."
While at first the deputies habitually refused to listen to the public - 25 deputies voted to give the floor to the representative of the Public convention Yuriy Svitlyk - a few minutes later, when the situation in the hall became more tense. and with the support of some deputies, they sent the draft decision for revision.
At the same time, they voted for appendices, which provide for revision of the provisions on the Department of Municipal Economy - on pricing for each of the objects offered for sale, the mechanism of auctions and more.
