Scammers cheated a Transcarpathian out of almost 10,000 UAH

Under the pretext of winning a car "Chevrolet", a gullible resident of Mukachevo trasferred to the account of an unknown rogue 9,800 UAH. The money allegedly had to be used for registration of the car...
A young resident of Mukachevo received a text message that she was the proud owner of a new car "Chevrolet Cruze". Following the instructions in the SMS message, the woman visited the fake website of a showroom, where she found the numbers of phones, accounts to transfer the money for registration of the car...
According to the victim, an unidentified man, who had introduced himself as a representative of the company, asked her to transfer one percent of the cost of the new car to the specified account. After the transfer, the woman will immediately become the owner of the car... The gallible woman did that. But when she called back later, trying to find out how and where she can pick up her car, the phone was disconnected...
Having made several more attempts to call and realized that had been cheated, the woman filed a complaint with the Mukachevo City Police Department. The criminal proceeding over this fact under Part 1 of Art.190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud) has been opened.
If you know anything about these crimes and incidents of fraud, please immediately report to Mukachevo City Police Department by phone: (03131) 2-23-33 or 102.
