Poland resumed gas supplies to Ukraine

The "Naftogaz of Ukraine" National Joint Stock Company reached the agreement on resuming of natural gas imports from Poland starting from February 12.

This is evidenced by the buyer's bid for the supply of gas from the gas measuring station (GMS) "Germanovice" towards Ukraine posted on the site of the Polish gas transmission system operator Gaz-System SA.

The order of the "Naftogaz", according to the Polish operator, as of February 12 is about 109,000 cubic meters of gas.

It was reported that on January 1, 2015, Poland had suspended natural gas supplies to Ukraine due to the fact that the "Naftogaz Ukraine" had not ordered the supply.

In turn, the "Naftogaz" explained that they had not ordered gas supplies from Poland since January 2015 because they were looking for European suppliers who could provide the optimal conditions of supply.
