A Transcarpathian lost his car because of "tobacco" lining

Smuggled cigarettes were found during the in-depth inspection of a vehicle at the checkpoint of the customs post "Vylok" of the Transcarpathian customs office.

A Transcarpathian planned to cross the border with Hungary with cigarettes "Compliment" and "Lifa" without excise stamps of Ukraine hidden under the decorative roof lining of the car interior - 556 packs, under the luggage compartment lining - 480 packs, and in the cavities of the front panel of the car - 20 packs.

Customs officers found the contraband after dismantling plastic decorative plating, lamps and loudspeaker of the front panel, and the cladding on the right and left sides of the luggage compartment of the car.

These actions constitute violation of customs regulations, provided by Part 1 of Art.483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Under the law, 1056 packs of cigarettes, the cost of which is to be established, and the car "Renault Espace" worth 43,308 UAH were confiscated.
