80% of the ATO forces have left Debaltseve - President

Ukrainian military are finishing the operation on withdrawal of units from Debaltseve.

This was stated by the President Poroshenko at the airport before departing to the ATO zone on Wednesday around noon.

"Now I can report that this morning, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard finished the planned and organized withdrawal of forces from Debaltseve," - Poroshenko said. 

According to him, "80% of the units have already left." "We are expecting two more convoys," - Poroshenko said.

Poroshenko added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were leaving Debaltseve in an organized manner with military equipment and weapons.

"We argued and proved: Debaltseve was under our control, there was no entrapment" - he said.

"Our units withdrew as planned. They broke out with military equipment, tanks, SP gun mounts, tractors, automotive equipment," - Poroshenko said.
