Young musicians from all over the region were creatively competing in Uzhgorod
The traditional regional performance competition among junior students of folk instrument departments of regional aesthetic education schools took place in Uzhgorod art school for children.
All participants, in accordance with the program requirements, had to perform an etude, an interpretation of a folk song or dance, and a play. At least one of the pieces had to be the work of a Ukrainian author or on Ukrainian theme.
Following the competition, the winners in the nomination "Folk instruments (guitar, domra, dulcimer)" were determined:
Second place - Anastasia Dynys (Svaliava SAC); Meliora Movnush (Nevetlenfolu SAC), Oleks Ehreshiy (Nevetlenfolu SAC), Ivan Nagy (Svalyava SAC);
Third place - Valeria Segediy (Uzhgorod Music School №1); Yevhenia Hefner (Velyky Berezny SAC); Vasylyna Kravchuk (Svalyava SAC); Katerina Skiba (Svalyava SAC); Maria Bystryanyn (Svalyava SAC); Mark Tsyapets (Uzhgorod Uzhgorod Music School).
The best in the category "Folk instruments (accordion)" are:
First place - Vladislav Khudynets (Nyzhnye Selyshche SAC); Oleksandr Marynets (Irshava SAC) Bogdana Fetko (Velyki Luchky SAC);
Second place - Khrystyna Zozulya (Velyki Luchky SAC), Tetyana Petryshynets (Dovhe SAC), Ivan Ivehesh (Vyshka SAC);
Third place - Camilla Oros (Beregovo SAC); Ivanna Semak (Bilky SAC), Ivan Chyipesh (Irshava SAC), Rostislav Chvorsyuk (Velyky Bychkiv SAC), Veniamin Gozda (Uzhgorod Music School №1).
The winners and other participants were awarded with diplomas of the Department of Culture of the Regional State Administration and prizes.
Overall, 78 students of 31 art schools of the region took part in the contest showing their skills and, importantly, love for folk music traditions.
