Uzhgorod has a new prosecution office and a new prosecutor
Today, December 16, the prosecutor of Transcarpathian region Volodymyr Yanko presented the head of Uzhgorod local prosecutor's office - Dmytro Kyrylenko.
The event was attended by the heads of the executive and the judiciary power, law enforcement and regulatory authorities of Uzhgorod and Chop, as well as Uzhgorod, Perechyn and Velyky Berezny districts the territories of which, according to the requirements of current legislation, fall under the territorial jurisdiction of Uzhgorod local prosecutor's office.
Introducing the newly appointed prosecutor, Volodymyr Yanko said that for the first time in the history of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, an open competition for the positions of heads of local prosecutors' offices had been held, according to which the Prosecutor General of Ukraine appointed Dmytro Kyrylenko as Uzhgorod city prosecutor.
Also, the regional prosecutor presented the First Deputy Prosecutor of Uzhgorod City - Ivan Savko and two deputies - Mykhailo Pantyo and Olesya Sherstyanykh, who were appointed according to an open competition for the positions at local prosecution offices. "I am sure that this young, promising and experienced staff fully understand the problems and are aware of the responsibility imposed on the prosecutor's office. And thus, they can effectively defend the Law in the region", - the prosecutor of the region concluded.
Dmytro Kyrylenko, thanked for the trust and addressing the audience, wished everyone an effective work to ensure the rule of law.
Reference: Dmytro Kyrylenko was born in the city of Zhytomir in 1980. He began his career in the prosecution in 2006 as the assistant prosecutor of Irshava district. Later, he worked as an investigator at the Mukachevo city prosecutor's office, assistant prosecutor of Uzhgorod and in departments of Transcarpathian regional prosecutor's office. Before the appointment as Uzhgorod City Prosecutor, he also worked as the prosecutor of Volovets and Perechyn districts.
