Transcarpathian police told how much the "new" ones work and how much they are paid

New patrol policemen indeed have high salaries, but they also have a great workload and responsibility.

This was reported today at a press conference by Yuriy Martsenyshyn, the head of the patrol police in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo.

The patrol officer's salary is 8,000 UAH, he said. And their work shift is 12 hours a day.

If it is a day shift, they rest one day, and if they patrol at night, they have two days of rest.

For now, none of those, who have been hired to the patrol police in Transcarpathia, has resigned.

Meanwhile, all former "militsiya" officers are now called policemen too. But, only the "new", ie, patrol police have higher salaries - the others have old salaries.
