Transcarpathian police are not yet ready to organize bicycle or horseback patrols

The acting chief of the police in Transcarpathian region Serhiy Knyazev said that issue of bicycle patrols in Uzhgorod may be considered some time in the future.

Although they might be practical considering the "geography" of the city. And Mukachevo too. The idea of horse patrols suggested by community activists is not considered. But it is possible that the issue of bicycle patrols will be considered in the future.

In general, during the press conference, the chief of the regional police said that the new patrol police is not the traffic police and they work not only on the roads, though they mostly reported about countering precisely that kind of violations.

As for the foot patrols, the head of Uzhgorod policemen Martsenyshyn said that it is necessary to carefully make up schedules because officers are offended when they are sent to patrol on foot and not by car.
