Transcarpathia, on New Year's Eve, rejoice the winter and be careful while driving (Weather forecast)

Winter will finally come on the New Year's Eve.

Frosts up to -17 °, snow and ice will come to Ukraine in the last days of the year - on December 31st, a serious cooling is predicted.

Starting the next week, cold weather, sleet and ice is expected.

Because of this, the Road Safety Office of the National Police of Ukraine asks drivers to strictly observe traffic rules.

Forecasters predict that due to the invasion of Arctic air, a dramatic change in weather is expected: on 28-29 of December, in Ukraine, starting with the northern regions, the air temperature will drop at night and during the day to 1-9 ° C below zero. The cooling will be accompanied by precipitation in the form of wet snow (on December 28, with rain), slush build-up, sleet, increasing northeast wind, ice covering on the roads will form.

On 30-31 of December, the cooling will continue: at night - to 8-14 ° below zero, sometimes to 17 ° below zero, during the day - to 4-10 ° below zero, in the far south and in Transcarpathia, at night - to 6-12 ° below zero, during the day - to 1-5 ° below zero. In Ukraine, except the western regions, it will be snowing. On 1-3 of January, there will be cold weather mostly without precipitation.

In this regard, the police appeal to traffic participants with the request to comply strictly with the traffic rules. During snowfall or rain, drive with low beam headlights (fog lights) switched on, follow speed limits, parking rules (so as not to interfere with snowplows), drive with caution on bridges and overpasses, avoid risky maneuvers.
