Three new border guard units of the Mukachevo Detachment have been opened in Transcarpathia

In order to enhance border protection and in view of changes in the situation at the site of Mukachevo border guard detachment, yesterday, at the offices of Border Guard Service inspectors "Bodalove", "Velyka Palad" and "Velyky Bychkov", new border guard service departments with the same names were opened. They will be guarding the state border of Ukraine with Hungary and Romania.

The event began with a minute of silence to honor heroes,  who died during combat missions for the protection of the state border of Ukraine. Among them, there are border guards who served in the Mukachevo Detachment, in particular major Artem Kokhany, soldier Wilhelm Stoltzel, senior ensign Vadim Turchenko.

Guests of the border guard units had the opportunity to see the renovated buildings, new workplaces for border guards and the modern equipment used in border surveillance.

All the newly created departments that were opened today at the site of the Mukachevo border guard detachment, meet modern border guarding standards, and their infrastructure and technical support allows to adequately perform tasks for the state border protection.

During the events, the head of the Mukachevo Detachment Colonel Volodymyr Parshikov noted that the opening of the department is a special ritual and border guards always take part in such events with great excitement and enthusiasm feeling responsibility for the assigned work.
