The regional center authorities promise to install trash bins specifically for vandals

50-liter garbage cans that are fitted with lock and fastened to vertical surfaces are to be installed in Uzhgorod. This was discussed at the meeting of the Mayor Bogdan Andriyiv with heads of public institutions and enterprises. 

Bogdan Andriyiv said that such "bins" are used in cities of most European countries.The manufacturer – a German company – developed a special design: these containers are attached to walls or pillars, the lid is fitted with lock, and in order to take garbage out of it one needs to unlock it with key. The plastic these containers are made of is non-burning. Since the opening is small, it will be difficult to pull garbage out of it and scatter it around, and this is what is known to be a problem of most bins and containers of the city. It is planned to install 70 such bins, primarily in the center of Uzhgorod. The city officials will determine which enterprise and how often will be removing garbage from the new bins.
