The new-old chief forester of Transcarpathia was instructed to communicate with the public
The new chief of forest industry of the region was introduced in Uzhgorod. It is Valeriy Murga, who has has headed the Department of Forestry and Hunting Economy in Transcarpathian region. Finally he got rid of the prefix "acting".
The head of the State Forestry Agency of Ukraine Oleksandr Kovalchuk, during a working visit to Transcarpathia, formally introduced the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Forestry and Hunting Economy Department Valeriy Murga, who for the past two months has been serving as the acting head of the forest industry of the region.
Also during the visit, Oleksandr Kovalchuk met with the heads of the regional state administration and the regional council of Transcarpathia, directors of state enterprises and staff of the Transcarpathian Regional Forestry and Hunting Economy Department.
During the conversation, he delved into important issues related to the reform of the forestry sector, assuring that the forthcoming reform does not involve the layoff of professional staff. The industry should be efficient and competitive.
In particular, the head of the State Forestry Agency answered the question of forestry officials and pointed at enhancing communication with the public, stressing that society needs objective information about the activities in the industry, problems and their solutions, about the daily work of foresters who ensure environmental safety of the country.
