The issue of employment of boarding school pupils was discussed at the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration

The meeting of the Coordinating Council for Children took place under the chairmanship of the Deputy Governor Oleksandr Petik.

The agenda included the issue of the observance of the applicable labor legislation, employment and enrollment of children.

A representative of the regional employment center Olga Sivach said that for 11 months of the year 7 registered unemployed persons, who at the date of registration were under 18 years, had benefited from the services of the Center. "Five of them were employed, and the other two entered schools. In addition, specialists of employment centers have provided vocational guidance services to 196 students who are orphans or deprived of parental care", - the official informed.

A representative of the Department of Education and Science Olesya Hreba noted that from late August to November this year two stages of the raid "Lesson" had taken place to identify children who did not start studying in secondary schools on September 1.

According to statistics submitted by divisions and departments of education, as of September 1, this year, 263 students were not receiving their secondary education, and on September 15, there were only 164 such children.

After considering these issues, the Coordinating Council members decided to enhance the work on employment of children from crisis categories and their vocational guidance, ensure the education for children of school age and tighten control over the execution of custodial functions by public guardians.
