On December 9, at 13:10, the Rescue Service "101" received a report of an accident that had occurred on Timiryazev street in Uzhgorod.
According to preliminary data, the driver of a "BMW" heading from the neighborhood "Shakhta" in the direction of the city center lost control and collided first with a "Mercedes-Benz" parked on the side of the road, and then – with an electric pillar.
One crew of the 14th State Fire and Rescue Unit was sent to Timiryazev street to eliminate the consequences of the accident. At the scene of the accident, it was found out that inside the "BMW" there was only the driver who died at the scene. Using a special hydraulic equipment, rescuers removed the body of the driver from the smashed car.
The police are currently establishing the detailed circumstances of the accident.
