Only the municipality will have access to the CCTVs in Uzhgorod worth UAH 1.18 million
More than one million hryvnia for the CCTV system in Uzhgorod.
Uzhgorod deputies continue to distribute the budget funds at the last session in this year. They are approving funding for the programs that are will be financed from the city budget - that is, at the expense of the community.
In particular, they are discussing the program of the introduction of CCTV system.
It caused quite a lively discussion. Some deputies complained that the utility company incorporated for this purpose had already received funds but the program is not working. The images from those cameras, that worked, could only be seen at the city council and without the access of the police to the server, it is impractical.
However, deputy Yuriy Mandych, who headed the utility "Uzhparkvideo" which went bankrupt, insisted on the adoption of the program.
Deputies agreed and voted despite the criticism of the head of the city police Roman Stefanyshyn that the police should have access to the system.
Therefore, only the municipality will be managing the video surveillance system and, thus, watching Uzhgorod.
