Neighboring Slovak media named those who fight on the side of separatists in the Donbas
Slovak publication Dennik N named three compatriots who are fighting on the side of separatists in the Donbas.
Those are, in particular, Martin Sojka Keprta and Richard Branicki, the Dennik N reports.
According to the Slovak publication, before coming to the Donbas, Keprta was going in for fencing, airsoft and was a member of an organization fighting the effects of floods.
According to reliable sources, Keprta arrived to the Donbas in September 2014 and joined the international brigade.
In February, he was wounded near Debaltseve and after treatment started to train newcomers.
When asked why he decided to fight for the separatists, Keprta said that he did not like the values advocated by the EU.
"I found a way to fight what I do not like. I'm fighting for the interests of those whose views correspond to my beliefs," - he stressed.
As the newspaper writes, Keprta currently got married in the Donbas and does not plan to return home.
The case of Branicki, another Slovak, who went to fight in the Donbas is quite the opposite.
He was one of the first Slovaks who went to the Donbas. According to the volunteer, his decision was influenced by Russian media outlets, because he did not believe Slovak media.
Although Branicki states that he went to fight in the Donbass to prevent the killing of women and children by the Nazis, the real reason is more prosaic, the Slovak edition informs.
The fact is that at home Branicki faces charges, under which he can be put in prison for 20 years.
In particular, those are economic crimes, such as fraud, embezzlement and tax evasion.
In Slovakia, Branicki left a girlfriend and two children.
