Khust rescuers were teaching students the rules of safe life

On December 11, representatives of Khust city and district department of the State Emergencies Service conducted a lesson of safety for local kids. The event took place on the territory of the secondary school №2 in Khust. 60 students of grades 3-4 gathered in the courtyard of the institution to listen to the rescuers. They wanted to see the work of firefighters and listen to interesting information.

Students were enthusiastically examining a fire truck of the 10th State Fire and Rescue Unit that is used for elimination of various fires almost every day. The firefighters showed the children the equipment of the truck and told under what circumstances a particular tool is used. Of course, the students had to try on a firefighter's outfit and to be photographed in it.

Traditionally, no such event can be without theoretical part. Not leaving the fire truck, the rescuers told the kids about the basic rules of fire safety. The children learned from firefighters that it is forbidden to play with matches or other open flames. Also, students were advised to never turn on electrical and gas appliances on their own but ask their parents to do it. Finally, the students learned the number to call in case of fire - 101.
