Following Uzhgorod residents, the City Hall also started thinking about mobility

The First Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod Istvan Tsap took part in the event "Strengthening of the municipalities' potential in planning of urban mobility in the cities of Ukraine" organized in Lviv by the NGO FORZA supported by the Heinrich Böll Foundation. 

The main expert - representative of the Mobilissimus company from Budapest Ondrash Ekeysh - focused on approaches, planning instruments that improve the professional level of officials of local governments in the organization of urban mobility - effective coordination of the movement of various transport, organization of navigation systems in public transport, building of bicycle infrastructure, etc. 

During the review of practical examples of European cities and Ukraine, interactive discussion, they spoke about the difficulties, risks, success factors, planning involving stakeholders and target groups, with the inclusion of a specific community needs and requirements relating to the environment, climate change, health and safety of the population. 

In January, specialists will arrive to Uzhhorod to coordinate the areas of work of the local government in the planning of transport infrastructure taking into account the features of our city.
