Yesterday, at the checkpoint "Dyakove", Border Guard Service officers prevented an attempt of a Romanian citizen to hide 500 packs of Ukrainian-made cigarettes "Chesterfield" from border control. .
The 34-year-old Romanian tried to carry the contraband tobacco products abroad disguised as pasta of one of the famous brands. Thus, during the inspection, border guards noticed that the original package was damaged, and after opening of the cardboard boxes they found cigarettes hidden from border and customs control under the vermicelli.
The detection of the cigarettes was documented in the report. The cigarettes, and the vermicelli were seized according to the law.
The total cost of the seized goods is almost 5,000 UAH.
