About the trial to reinstate F. Vashchuk as the rector of UzhNU

Due to public outcry, the responsibility for properly informing the staff UzhNU, we inform that on Dec. 2, 2015, at the Shevchenko District Court of Kyiv, there was a meeting in a civil case №761/24553/15-C on the claim of FG Vashchuk to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on his reinstatement as the rector of Uzhgorod National University.

The court is establishing the circumstances the parties refer to as the basis of their claims and objections, studying the evidence supporting them.

The next meeting on the case will take place on December 10, 2015.

We also inform that the appeal of the staff of UzhNU to the Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Science and Education Lilia Grinevich, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Kvit signed by more than 700 employees of the university was sent to the addressees. The open letter was published on December 2 on the site of the MES (http://mon.gov.ua/usi-novivni/novini/2015/12/02/vidkritij-list-do-liliyi-grinevich-ta-sergij-kvita/). The appeal is still open for signing.

Uzhgorod National University
