A mini-monument "Red Ribbon" will be opened in Uzhgorod (Announcement)
On December 10, 2015, at 12:00, in the city of Uzhgorod, on Kyivska embankment, near the Regional Music and Drama Theatre, there will be the opening of the mini-sculpture in the form of "Red Ribbon."
Since the beginning of 2000, this ribbon has been the official symbol of the fight against AIDS and support for people who were affected by this problem. The memorial sign symbolizes the hope that the HIV / AIDS epidemic in Ukraine will be stopped and grief for the people who died of AIDS.
The opening of the mini-sculpture was initiated by the charity organization "Transcarpathian Charitable Society of the Network of People Living with HIV / AIDS", supported by the Uzhgorod City Department of Culture, Sports, Youth and Family and the Center for Prevention and Control of AIDS.
The author of the sculpture is a graduate of Transcarpathian Art Institute - blacksmith artist Yuriy Lenko.
