2624 Transcarpathians have been vaccinated against the epidemic of influenza and ARVI

According to the head of the epidemic monitoring and sanitary protection department of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service in Transcarpathian region Victoria Dyordyay, for the period of 4 to 11 of December, 2015, 3552 people turned to health care institutions of the region about ARVI and influenza, the incidence rate is 28.3 per 10 thousand people, which is 36.3% below the epidemic threshold.

The growth rate of ARVI incidence compared to the previous (49th) week of 2015 is 5.8%. Compared to the 50th week of 2014, the incidence of ARVI among the population of the region is lower by 5.1%.

A slight increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections is observed in some administrative units of the region.

High incidence were registered during the current week in the city of Uzhgorod, the city of Mukachevo, Uzhgorod and Vynogradiv districts.

67.3% of all cases are children under 17, the highest level is observed in the age group of 5-14 years (45.4%).

4.2% of the total of cases were taken to medical facilities of the region, of which 89.3% are children.

Since the beginning of the season, 2624 persons have been vaccinated against the epidemic of influenza and ARVI, including 1390 persons from medical risk group and 1234 persons from epidemic risk group.
