Uzhgorod will celebrate the most important holiday of the country (Announcement)
Holidays in the regional center Transcarpathia will be marked by several events, some of which already took place on Friday, August 21.
However, Sunday and Monday will also bring festive mood and exaltation.
Thus, on August 23, on the Day of the Flag, at 9.00, on Narodna Square in Uzhgorod, there will be a ceremonial raising of the National Flag of Ukraine, laying flowers at monuments to Taras Shevchenko and Augustin Voloshin.
At 11.30, the solemn procession with a 100-meter flag of Ukraine will start marching from the square at the Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater to the Hill of Glory, where at 12.00 there will be the memorial service to commemorate the fallen heroes of the ATO.
And the Independence Day in Uzhgorod will begin with a prayer for Ukraine. The concert under this title will start at 6.00 near the pedestrian bridge.
