"Travelling Dolls" will bring together border regions of Ukraine and Slovakia

The project aims to make us even better neighbors and to represent the common cultural heritage in an innovating manner. 

At the Department of Culture of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, there was a working meeting of the partners to the international project "Travelling Dolls" with the participation of the border regions of Ukraine and Slovakia (Transcarpathian region and Kosice self-governing region).   

The project aims to improve the exchange of information and consequently to deepen good-neighborly relations between the border regions of Ukraine and Slovakia. It is about the presentation of the common cultural heritage in an innovative manner aimed, primarily, at children. Namely, the theatrical production based on 10 tales (5 from each party), which will be presented in two languages ​​and on both sides of the border. Tales, that introduce to local attractions and figures, history and legends, will have a priority because in this case the project will be not only educational and entertaining, but will also have a tourist success. 

Another no less important part of the project is the TV version of the Ukrainian-Slovak production that will be presented at both the local and the central TV channels of the two countries, - the Department of culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration reported. 

The project will be implemented from September 1, 2015 to April 30, 2017 with partial support of the international border cooperation program of the Norwegian financial mechanism.
