Transcarpathians said good-bye to the summer with the unique sound of trembitas

On August 30, the last Sunday of summer, the regional folklore and tourist festival "Trembitas call to the Synevyr" took place in Mizhhirya district.

The festival began with an exciting performance of the Lugansk regional Cossack equestrian theater, who came at the invitation of the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. Near the National Park "Synevyr", the riders presented a show based on Cossack military traditions and full of exciting acrobatic stunts.

After demonstrations of the Lugansk regional Cossack equestrian theater, trembitas called numerous visitors – both local and from outside Transcarpathia – to the lake Synevyr. Regional, district and local officials joined the festival visitors. Together, they walked almost 800-meter-long path up the hill, along which original presentation tents of Mizhhirya district rural communities were located.

Finally, the Synevyr – the deepest lake of Transcarpathia and Ukrainian Carpathians, one of the most picturesque corners of the region and, according to experts, one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of Ukraine".

The official delegation was transported by wooden rafts across the lake to the main location of the festival.

Then, the grand opening of the festival took place. The head of the region Hennadiy Moskal welcomed the guests.

After the welcoming speech, the head of the region performed a pleasant mission and awarded two local musicians, who have dedicated their lives to favorite instruments, piper Yuriy Markovich and trembita player Ivan Skunts.

The festive concert program continued with the participation of leading folk groups of Mizhhirya, Volovets, Rakhiv, Tyachiv, Irshava, Vynogradiv, Svalyava, Mukachevo and Uzhgorod districts. Finally, the famous singing Transcarpathians Ivan Pylypets and Ivan Popovich entertained the audience.
