Transcarpathians congratulate Hungarian partners on the Day of St. Istvan

 August 20 is the Day of St. Istvan, the founder of the Hungarian state. This is the largest public holiday of the Hungarians. On this occasion, the chairman of the regional council Volodymyr Chubirko sent telegrams to Hungarian diplomats, heads of the regions, which Transcarpathia has established partnerships with, and officials with congratulations to the representatives of the neighboring country and all the Hungarian people on the Day of the founding of the Hungarian state.

          "On behalf of the deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council and myself, please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Hungarian national holiday - the Day of St. Istvan, the founder of the Hungarian state.

Hungary can be proud of its achievements as a state that has made a significant contribution to the development of stable Europe.

We appreciate the continued support of friendly Hungary in implementation of the EU integration course of our country, the assistance provided to Ukraine and Transcarpathia particularly at this difficult time for us.

We are actively working for systemic change in all spheres of socio-economic ​life of the region and the experience and support of Hungary is extremely important to us. We look forward to continued close cooperation," - the telegram says.
