Transcarpathian roads are among the worst roads in Ukraine

The repair of Ukrainian roads requires 500 billion to 1 trillion hryvnia and 10 years.

In Ukraine, 50 thousand kilometers of roads are in shameful condition and in need of repair.

This year, the road buiding company received 20 billion hryvnia. 17 billion of it will be used to repay the loans. The remaining 3 billion hryvnia will only be enough for one third of the necessary works on the pit repair.

The publication "LigaBusinessInform" made ​​the top 10 worst roads of Ukraine (according to the Ukravtodor, they need repair the most).

Transcarpathian segments have two positions in the dubious ranking:

The sixth position went to the highway Mukachevo – Ivano-Frankivsk – Rohatyn – Lviv (Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv region). Its length is 435 km, 255 km of which are in need of repair. The road is in poor condition, its width is 7.9 meters, it is quite dangerous because there are a lot of sharp turns and climbs there.

The motorway Lviv – Sambir – Uzhgorod (Transcarpathian and Lviv regions) is on the penultimate position. Its total length is 227.5 km, about 100 km of which are covered with pits and potholes.
