This morning, border guards of the Chop detachment during the in-depth inspection of the car "Kyiv-Bratislava" of the passenger train "Kyiv – Uzhgorod" found two specially constructed caches. In the floor under the storage space of lower passenger seats, border guards found 800 packs of cigarettes "Marlboro Gold" hidden from border and customs control. It was established that the tobacco products with excise stamps of a Ukrainian producer were owned by a car conductor.
The found cigarettes seized, and the report on violation of the Customs Code of Ukraine was drawn up against the conductor. The approximate cost of the seized tobacco products is 17,600 UAH.
Another case of violation of customs regulations at railway was recorded by border guards the night before. The hidden tobacco border were found by border guards in the freight train Chop (Ukraine) – Záhony (Hungary). During the in-depth inspection of 10 empty cars, 300 packs of cigarettes "Jin-Ling" hidden from border and customs control were found in their structural features. The tobacco products of a Ukrainian producer had no excise stamps. Total evaluation of the seized cigarettes is 6,000 UAH, the Chop border guard detachment informed.
