Tomorrow, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal will visit Solotvyno salt mine. The meeting on the situation at the public enterprise will be held there.
The situation at the salt mine is becoming more complicated every year. Experts even warn that there may be a leak of salt water into the Tisa River, which threatens ecological disaster on a cross-border level.
In total, since the beginning of sinkhole formation, 5.3 million cubic meters of land has collapsed. Now the volume of voids in mines, that are not filled with soil or water, by approximate figures, reaches 280 thousand cubic meters.
