Moskal introduced Synyshyn to Uzhgorod district

On Monday, August 17, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal introduced new head of the region - Anatoly Synyshyn to the staff of Uzhgorod district state administration. The order about his appointment was signed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on August 10.

The event was also attended by heads of village councils, representatives of law enforcement agencies and the public of Uzhgorod district.

First, the head of the region inquired about budget revenues. The chief district financier informed that as of today, the budget target is exceeded by UAH 27 million. Thus, Uzhgorod district will have full amount salaries until the end of the year, currently there are no wage arrears. However, there are three village councils which do not meet the targets, but this is a small amount of money.

In turn, Hennadiy Moskal shared priority tasks for the entire region, including Uzhgorod district. "Today we face such "challenges" as problems with roads, provision public sector institutions with energy in winter, attraction of investors, fair and transparent local elections and illegal dumps".

Hennadiy Moskal said that he would demand from the new head of Uzhgorod district the most rapid transition to alternative fuels to get rid of dependence on gas heating, primarily in kindergartens and schools.

He also reiterated the need to create jobs for residents of the district, because it's real revenues to the budget: "We are in deep financial tailspin. So look for investors, let people work, develop rural tourism. It is unacceptable when when only 170,000 people of more than one million population of the region are officially employed, the rest work illegally or abroad."

When talking about local elections under the new legislation, the head of the regional administration reported that the number of deputies would be reduced almost twice - from 66 to 36. And once again stressed that "elections for money is a road to nowhere."

At the end of his speech, Hennadiy Moskal asked to soberly assess the capabilities of each locality and to create communities for economic development, because decentralization leads to real reforms and opportunity to solve numerous problems of each locality in Transcarpathia.

Note: Synyshyn Anatoly was born on April 3, 1964 in the village of Letava in Khmelnitsky region. He has three higher education degrees: in 1986 graduated from Uzhgorod State University (physics, physics teacher) in

2005 - Transcarpathian State University (law, specialist in law), and in 2007 - Transcarpathian State University (law, lawyer). At one time he worked as the Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod and the director of the "Duna 95" LLC. He heads the public alliance "Native Uzhgorod".
