Moskal demands to deal with the Transcarpathian "trademark"
Hennadiy Moskal held a meeting with heads of regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Emergencies Service on the latest facts of car fires in Uzhgorod, the press service of the RSA informed.
Recall that on Monday, on Odeska street, a "Skoda-Octavia" with Slovak license plates caught fire and on Academik Korolyov street - a minibus "Gazelle" (as a result of the latter, another two passenger cars parked nearby were damaged). As established by experts, both fires were not related to deliberate arson. The "Skoda" caught fire due to short circuit in the wiring, and the minibus - because of children playing with fire.
During the meeting, H.Moskal instructed the law enforcement to inform the public about the causes of car fires more promptly and demanded to intensify the work on the disclosure of previously committed intentional arsons.
- Car arsons are already perceived as a "trademark" of Transcarpathia and have become one of the most common methods of informal settling of scores - H. Moskal said. - If these crimes are not disclosed on hot pursuit, their number will only grow.
